DURBAN-BASED artist, Holly, will be performing in Pietermaritzburg over the next few weeks.

This Saturday, 28 November, she will be performing at Mbuso’s Place from 9am until late and the following day she will perform at Ciao Bella Soulful Sundays.

On 4 November she will perform at the East Coast Radio Toy Story event. On 5, 6, 12, 20, 21 and 22 December she will perform at various places, including Taxi to Kasi Tate’s Kasi Grill, PMB Youth Ambassador Awards 2015, at Pietermaritzburg’s Sprytz Lounge for her birthday celebration and at two events in Ulundi respectively.

South African award-winning artist, Shota, and Holly have collaborated on a new track, Sabela. The track is the classic tale of unrequited love with a modern flare.

At age 19, Holly is already an experienced singer- songwriter, performer, as well as studio session regular with a penchant for soulful, deep house and dance music. Holly cites musical influences such as Lighthouse Family, David Grey, Hugh Masekela, Busi Mhlongo, Black Coffee, Zakes Bantwini, and Oskido.

Holly is no stranger to collaborations and strives to create music without boundaries. Over the years and since the age of 13, she has collaborated with musicians from Mozambique, Senegal, Congo and Nigeria.

She has also been noticed by Nigerian producers and collaborated on a track with Lagos-based star Ice Prince which was released in 2013.

Holy matriculated with exceptional marks and is now studying through Varsity College.

Holly sings in English and Zulu and last year released an album. She playlisted on most urban regional stations with her single Inhliziyo Yami and Khula. She received an accolade for her contribution to Durban Arts and Culture from the City of Durban. She has also toured on Ukhozi FM December Roadshow and has played in the opening slot for International House Artist Chappell (U.S.) in Newcastle.

Holly is the youngest person ever to be signed to Sony ATV Publishing at age 13.
