HIGH security guarded a packed city hall last Friday when the inauguration of the new Msunduzi Municipal council was sworn in, with many dignitaries attending. Hoards of people flocked to the city centre to witness the new city management taking their oath. The public filled the city hall gallery and the Carbineer’s Garden of Peace next door where a huge screen was set up. MEC for Finance and District Champion, Belinda Scott, welcomed attendees and encouraged the incoming council to ensure they work for the people of the municipality and keep in mind the mandate that is given to them by the people.
