THE Miss UniWorld SA 2017 finalist, Denelle Ince (21) from Northdale, won the KZN Young Achievers Award on Saturday evening at Blue Waters Hotel in Durban.

Ince was one of the three finalists nominated in the beauty category.

Speaking to Maritzburg Fever Ince said she still can’t believe she won.

“It still hasn’t sunk in yet that I won. When they were announcing the nominees, I sat nervously.

“When they called my name as the winner my tears just rolled,” said Ince.

She said she didn’t expect to win and this is the first award she has won and her first nomination for any award.

“I was pleased I was chosen as one of the top three finalists but I didn’t expect to be the winner. Having won such a prestigious award at such a young age is something I am proud of.

“Being a young achiever, exceeding my goals abundantly is all God’s grace and favour. This awards means everything to me - this is literally my life goal.”

Ince is now preparing for her big pageant - the Miss UniWorld SA 2017 - to be held in Sibaya Casino and Entertainment Kingdom in Durban on September 23.

She is also planning on doing a drive for abused women since it is Women’s Month, the details of which will be released later.
