SCOTTSVILLE Primary School pupil Channing Verwork received the Mall at Scottsville Good Citizen Award. The motivation letter for Channing receiving the award was written by an fellow pupil, which reads:

• Channing Vorwerk (nominated by a pupil).

• If someone is in need for help, he helps.

• If he sees someone sad, he will go and cheer them up.

• He never says nasty things, or nasty, cruel jokes.

• Channing is polite.

• He doesn’t mind that I’m a girl and he’s a boy, and he doesn’t mind that all his friends are girls. To him a

person is a person and there is no need to get silly over things like that. He gets on very well with his friends.

• Channing is holiest, if he wants something, he will always ask first and not just take.

• He can be very serious, but playful at times.

• Channing always insists on sharing, whether it’s his feelings, food or any other form of material thing
