ONE of the highlights of the St Charles College Preparatory School calendar is Words Week. With teachers and external specialists planning interesting, thought-provoking and exciting lessons for the boys, they were exposed to all sorts of different facets of language usage and study.

The boys relished a history talk by Rob Caskie and an educational talk by Professor Emeritas Adiran Koopman on Zulu plant names.

Adding to the element of fun, the boys were treated to several dramatic performances, one of which was a staff play.

A comedic take on a Shakespearian tragedy, the staff needed to fill the roles of characters and props.

The final day of Words Week in the senior primary saw the boys dress up as a character of their choosing.

Teachers also joined in the fun and the senior primary felt like a fantasy world filled with all sorts of characters. - Supplied.
