4th Avenue gets facelift

2016-06-22 06:00

4th Avenue, Newton Park, is currently undergoing a much needed make-over to not only modernize and restore, but to add value.

Milprop, the developer of the 4th Avenue business quarter, said that they had focused mainly on the refurbishment of a number of buildings in 4th Avenue, Newton Park and the surrounding area.

“We wanted to give the majority of the street a make-over. The refurbishment is not complete; it’s still work in progress. 4th Avenue is a really great business hub situated in the CBD of Newton Park. It is a mixture of business and living,” said a spokesperson of Milprop.

“We are considering acquiring new properties to add value and enhance value. The majority of work was completed in 2014 and 2015 but there is still work to be done. We’re almost complete but with refurbishments it’s never complete.

“The aim is to modernize. Some of the buildings are from the 1950’s and others were not in good condition and had to be demolished.”

Milprop’s vision for Newton Park is not only renovation but also the adding of value and quality of life in the area.
