AIDAN Smit is the Puma School Sport Star for this week.

Aidan is 17 years old and a Grade 11 learner at St Mark’s High School.

He lives, eats and breathes soccer. “I have been playing soccer since Grade 2 and never stopped,” said Aidan. He started playing for Callies Colts, a well known soccer club in Port Elizabeth, from a very young age.

“I have been playing for Callies since Grade 3, and I joined the club because all my friends also came to the same club, and ever since then Callies have made me feel at home.”

Besides playing soccer, Aidan also runs, swims and goes to the gym, all in attempt to stay fit for soccer.

After school Aidan hopes to live his dream by getting into Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, and studying Human Movement Studies, whilst playing soccer for the institution.

“Furthermore he wishes to play for Bafana Bafana and hopefully play for an international team,” added Paul Smit, Aiden’s father.
