THE Bianca Blood Drive during November is both an initiative and legacy in honour of Miss PE 2010 Bianca-Anne Harper Agherdien, who lost her life last year in a head-on collision.

The initiative was implemented by her family, and is inspired by Bianca’s willingness to always reach out to other people.

Bianca’s father Denzyl Harper describes Bianca as being clever and very hard working from a very young age. “As a kid she loved playing a teacher and in Primary and High School she did very well in academics.”

After school she studied at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, where she studied towards a Masters Degree in Pharmacy.

Soon after she finished university, she was crowned Miss PE 2010, and last year she got married to her husband Anver Agherdien.

Bianca over the years has affected many people in a positive manner, and by creating the drive, her family wants to continue doing good for others in Bianca’s name.

The family urges Nelson Mandela Bay and surrounds to donate blood this November for the South African Blood Bank, as December is coming and blood is always short at this time of the year.
