Witnesses of Jesus Apostolic Church (Zvapupu ZvaJesu Apostolic Church): Will have a first of its kind conference, 3 Days Daku, from 2 to 4 October at the Lillian Ngoyi, Daku, Kwazakhele. International branches and the full church leadership will be present and there will be activities that will preach transformation through Christ. Free Entrance, all access provided. Baakens Valley Preservation Trust: The Baakens Valley Preservation Trust will have a guided circular walk in the Robert Searle Park area of the Baakens Valley on 3 October starting at 9am. Meet at the Baakens Trail sign board at the upper end of Alan Drive, Walmer Downs. There is off street parking and there will be rangers to assist. Contact Nelia at 072 285 7619.

Friends of Van Stadens Wildflower Reserve: Will be having their well-known indigenous plant sale on the 3 October from 9am to 1pm. There will be a trail run at 8am and a family mountain bike ride at 10 am. This is the only fundraising event for the year and all the funds will be used to do work in the wild flower reserve. The Friends of the Walmer Library: Will have a books, crafts and food mini-market at the Walmer Library on 2 October from 9.30am to 2.30pm.

Friends of the Linton Grange Library: Will be having a Book Sale at the library on 3 October from 8am to 11am. All books sold at R5. For more info contact Anne at 041 360 0797.

Algoa Toyota 4x4 Club: Will be celebrating its 25th Anniversary Celebration on 3 October. Events for the day include a Mystery Run, Spitbraai, Big Screen Rugby, Lucky Draws and Raffles. All 4x4 vehicles welcome. For entry forms email algoa4x4secretary@gmail.com or contact Philip on 0834 551 889.

Boot Sale: Save-a-Pet will be having their monthly Boot Sale at the Elephant Walk Restaurant car park in Colleen Glen on 3 October from 8am to 1pm. Sellers to be there at 7am. A restaurant, bar, farm and antique shop will be open. Contact Natalie at 084 593 2377.

Fete: Laubscher Park East will have their Annual Fete on 3 October from 9am at the entrance in Villiers Road, Walmer (between 14th Avenue and Crane Road). There will be books, boerewors rolls, cakes, curry bunnies, egg and bacon rolls needlework, pancakes, plants, puddings for sale. There will also be a farm stall and raffles.
