An invasion of the Minion kind is waiting for visitors to The Boardwalk next Wednesday. The crazy, loveable characters are coming to the Port Elizabeth to promote their movie Minions which hits the big screens in South Africa on July 10.

They will make a few grand appearances at The Boardwalk throughout the day. Fans can catch the delightful Minions at The Boardwalk Complex from 9:30am to 11am; NU Metro from 12pm to 1:30pm, and at The Boardwalk Complex from 2:30pm to 3pm.

Fans will be able to have their photographs taken with their favourite Minions and are also encouraged to bring Minion memorabilia for signing. There is no cost to join the fun.

The Minions made their debut in the animation, Despicable Me. Now they star in their own movie.

The story Minions begins at the dawn of time. Starting as single-celled yellow organisms, Minions evolve through the ages, perpetually serving the most despicable of masters. Continuously unsuccessful at keeping these masters—from T. rex to Napoleon—the Minions find themselves without someone to serve and fall into a deep depression.

But a trio of Minions ventures out into the world to find a new evil boss for their brethren to follow.

They embark on a thrilling journey that ultimately leads them to their next potential master, Scarlet Overkill (Academy Award® winner Sandra Bullock), the world’s first-ever female super-villain.
