MTN Joyous Celebration fulfills the dreams of young and old people who aspire to make it big in the cut throat gospel industry.

While hundreds of people came from far and wide to try their suitability to the South Africa’s biggest gospel ensemble, MTN Joyous Celebration by auditioning to be part of upcoming MTN Joyous Celebration 20, a 19-year-old musician from the Eastern Cape, who was diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, will have his dream fulfilled as he shares a stage and sings with the multiple award-winning gospel group’s presentation Joyous Celebration 19 at their Port Elizabeth show, which takes place on Friday and Saturday 29 and 30 May at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University Indoor Sports Centre, Missionvale Campus.

The musician's dream to perform the song “Annointing Fall on Me” with the MTN Joyous Celebration Choir, was realised by the Reach for a Dream organisation.

“We do not know him but when we - the founding members received the message, we were pleased to make his dream come true,” said Jabu Hlongwane, one of the founding members.

“Malibongwe’s story is one of resilience and hope, hence we at MTN Joyous Celebration were humbled by his request and look forward to giving him an exceptional and memorable experience!” he said, adding that they hope gospel fans would come in droves to the show to witness this magical moment!
