THE first weekend of the annual Walmer Park Baby of the year competition has officially begun, with eager parents and their smiling babies and toddlers flocking to the Walmer Park Shopping Centre to have their little ones’ photos taken.

To enter this exciting competition and join in the spirit of showing off your bouncing bundle of joy, simply visit the in-centre studio set up at the Edgars Court in the Walmer Park Shopping Centre every weekend, Friday until Sunday from 10am to 2pm, until August 2.

The lovely in-centre studio is operated by professional photographer Debbie Louw. Your tot’s winning smile will be captured and you will receive two jumbo-sized photographs once the competition has drawn to a close. Photographs will be displayed at the in-centre studio for the duration of the competition.

The age categories are 0-6 months, 7-12 months, 13-18 months and this year we added 19-24 months. Ten finalists from each category will be chosen, from which the top three will be announced at a funfilled prizegiving event on August 8, in the Centre Court of the shopping centre.

Fantastic prizes will be awarded to the top tots chosen from each category, sponsored by Dischem, the Baby Gym, Toddlers Workshop, Edubaby, Naartjie, Francarlo Designer Goldsmith, Kodak Photo Excellence, Debbie Louw Photography, Edgars, Pick n Pay, The Matador and Toys R Us.

Visit the shopping centre and enter this popular annual event before Sunday, August 2. Only entries taken at the in-centre studio by Debbie Louw will be accepted.
