CORLI Carstens is an 18-year-old Linkside High pupil, who excels extremely well in sport - whether it be cricket, badminton, hockey or athletics. Corli started playing sport from a very young age, and enjoys cricket among the many sports she takes part in. “I enjoy cricket the most, because it’s a very relaxing and socialising sport,” says Corli.

She started playing cricket in Grade 8, when she was chosen to play for the school’s first team. That same year Corli was chosen to represent the EP Girls’ U.19 Cricket team, and got selected again in 2013, as well as in 2014. Currently the talented lady is part of the EP Ladies’ Cricket squad. Apart from being a cricket lover, Corli is also a hockey player, and serves as the captain for the school’s first hockey team. In 2014 Corli started playing badminton and represented the EP U.17 team in Bloemfontein, and now plays for the Kabega Badminton Club.

Corli received honours colours for athletics, cricket and badminton and prestigious awards at school as the most versatile sportswoman at Linkside High.

Corli looks forward to studying physiotherapy at a university outside of PE, and to continue playing sport at the institution
