THE Alexander Road High School music department held a concert on August 2 to honour the Grade 12 learners who will matriculate this year.

This concept started three years ago to celebrate the dedication of the learners who participated in the music programme during their time at the school.

The Grade 12 music learners, who were part of the concert band and orchestra, performed pieces of their own choosing.

Donned in their Matric Farewell dresses and suits, they each received a small clock as a token to remember their time as music pupils.

This year the matrics also presented their music teachers with awards as a tribute to their tutelage. After the concert a small reception was held for the Grade 12 learners and their parents.
