At the leading edge of modern tuition

BOSTON College has been in existence for more than 25 years and has developed its tuition model and programmes to the point where it is currently a leader in modern teaching and learning methodologies. Boston serves about 25 000 students a year from 40 sites.

Boston offers more than 80 dynamic career courses that cover a broad spectrum of fields, including Marketing, Management, Accounting, Finance, Office Administration, Sports, Events Management, IT Systems Development and IT Network Systems.

We have recently introduced the GED matric equivalency programme, a system that allows you to study one subject at a time and gain matric equivalency in four subjects. You study the subject, write the exam for that subject, then move onto the next subject.

We also have introduced short learning programmes such as the Retailer, The Lay Counsellor, and The Small Business Manager, allowing those who complete them entry to the industry in which they wish to work.

Boston also introduced MY.BOSTON which is an online learning platform which enables students to access their learning material at any time from any place in the world.

The college is registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training as a private higher education institution and is proud to be associated with various accrediting and certifying bodies such as the Financial Management Institute of Southern Africa and the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers and is accredited by several Skills Education Training Authorities (Setas) and is a Microsoft IT Academy.

Boston’s courses are designed and delivered for students to work at their own pace and in their own time. The online courses are supported by training advisers who are available to offer personal attention to ensure success in their studies.

Lectures are presented through a unique technology-based training methodology, and in this way ensure that no learner is disadvantaged. The Boston system allows learners to achieve a qualification, or to register on a modular basis, thereby building towards a full qualification or certificate.

Boston has been voted Best College for seven years in a row in The Star Your Choice awards, coolest college in the Sunday Times “Generation Next” survey, and is recognised by CompTIA as the largest certification partner in Africa, and the third-largest global certification partner.

Boston offers the flexibility of full-time, part-time and flexible study options. Students are guided with a timetable to ensure modules are completed within a certain period.

Boston also offers occasional studies for students who just want to complete one or two modules to enhance their skills according to their needs. Companies could use these short learning programmes and courses to boost specific employee skills to benefit the business.
