ELEVEN Attackers showed no mercy to PE Eleven when they thumped them 6-2 in the SAFA Nelson Mandela Bay Masters Association League game at Motherwell NU 13 Ground on Sunday.

Ncedisa Gondwe Goniwe came up with Attackers’ opening goal early in the first half with PE Eleven goalkeeper, Thembinkosi Nonjakazi, beaten.

Khaya Kaizer Quntu then registered a goal that increased Attackers’ lead to 2-0. Goniwe scored his last goal right at the end of the first stanza.

PE Eleven striker, Siphelo Barnes Booi, scored their opening goal.

Quntu’s second goal quickly cancelled the joy of the PE Eleven supporters as the Motherwell side were up 4-1. Attackers’ goalkeeper, Mike Soyamba, scored from the penalty spot and increased their lead to 5-1.

Booi unleashed a cracking shot that beat Soyamba and decreased the visitors’ deficit to 5-2.

The last goal of the game, which was scored by Thembelani Kimsho Kondlo, shattered the hopes of PE Eleven making a comeback.

The game between Sparks Masters and Eberspacher also produced some fireworks. Sparks Masters thought that they were going to beat the 10-man side, but it was not an easy game at all.

Eberspacher’s striker, Siyabulela Swartbooi, combined well with Mxolisi Damana who created a goalscoring opportunity for Swartbooi who sliced the ball into the far post.

The Deal Party side maintained their lead for almost the entire first half. Andile Wire Nangu and Sizwe Hani read each other well.

The two players’ hard work created an opportunity for Mbuyiselo Kwayiyo to pull an equalising goal for Sparks Masters.

Villagers were awarded soft points over New Brighton Masters.
