Birdlife EC: A Saturday morning outing at Thunzi Bush Lodge near Maitland River Mouth will take place on 10 September. Target birds: Red-chested Flufftail, Yellow-fronted Woodland-Warbler and African Fish Eagle. This is forest birding but there are also dams with huge reedbeds. This outing is specifically to try and call up the Red-chested Flufftail that has been heard calling in thick reedbeds in the past. Meet at 6.30am at Schultz’s on West Street in Newton Park. EP Bonsai Society:
The monthly meeting will take place on 10 September at 1.45pm for 2pm at the Sherwood Garden Centre, Walker Drive. Bring trees for a “hands on workshop”.
