GORGEOUS and practical family prizes valued at R70 000 are up for grabs at this year’s PE Express First Choice Kids and Baby Expo that will take place at the Boardwalk on Friday, September 29, Saturday, September 30, and Sunday, October 1.

What’s more is the first 500 daily visitors will receive a First Choice Milki on arrival and the kids can enjoy heaps of free entertainment inside the expo, from wall climbing to action cricket, bike parks to pedal go-karts, creative zones, face painting and an all-day stage programme!

Expo visitors stand a chance to win prizes on a daily basis, where two winners will be drawn each day at 4pm. These winners will then re-enter the draw for the whopper of a family prize valued at over R54 000. The entry form will be published in the PE Express from today (see below).

Stokke has selected top-of-the-range baby-care items for the lucky winner, including Stokke Xplory valued at R18 000, a Stokke iZisleep car chair valued at R7 000, Stokke Sleepi Bed worth R13 000, Stokke Flexi Bath and insert worth R1 000 and premium linen valued at R3 000.

In addition, the winner will receive a Kids Emporium bumper hamper valued at R4 000, a portable jungle gym worth R6 500 from Windsor Forest Products and a family photo shoot, valued at R1 600, from Impact Photography.

The six consolation prizes include six Kids Emporium hampers valued at R1 350, six R500 First Choice vouchers, three 12-inch balance bikes from Muna Bikes worth R1 150 and three Beans with Wings Party Hire valued at R1 000.

This year sees the launch of a new collaboration with Early Childhood Business Forum (ecBF), which will also be held at the Boardwalk and will dovetail with the second day of the expo.

Aimed at parents, au pairs, nannies and pre-school teachers working with children between the ages of 0 and 3 years, the Parenting 911 workshop will be held at the Boardwalk Conference Centre on Saturday, September 30, from 9am to 12:30pm.

The Parenting 911 workshop, presented by ecBF, will cover a number of topics presented by field experts. The topics include Musickin through mothering – the influence of music on learning and mothering, de-stressing parent and child, sensory behaviour and discipline with love.

Registration online for the workshop from August 25 at www.harwoodevents.co.za/parenting911.

Entry to the PE Express First Choice Kids and Baby Expo is R40 for adults and R25 for kids and pensioners, while babies under 12 months attend for free.

The three-day expo entertainment programme will take place from 9am to 6pm on Friday and Saturday, and from 9am to 5pm on Sunday.
