THREE learners from Grey High School, Murray Keeton, Lance Daniell and Daniel Dickinson, were selected to represent the EP Junior Angling Team which competed in the annual Nationals in Mossel Bay recently.

To come in consideration for selection for the team, one has to end in the top six anglers after eight league competitions. Points are accumulated throughout these eight competitions.

In the recent past, EP has enjoyed major success when it was crowned the top junior team four out of five times.

Unfortunately, this year was not to be. Mistakes made and a lot of trial and error narrowed the chance of clinching the title for the fifth year in a row.

During the recent Nationals, Keeton represented the u/21 team that ended seventh overall, while Daniel and Lance represented the u/16 team that also ended seventh.

Murray and Lance were ranked 21st and 22nd out of 56 anglers respectively after Lance unfortunately missed a hammerhead shark that would have placed him well.

Nonetheless, these three young men gained valuable experience at the event.
