Ibhayi Sunshine Saunter is back again

2016-12-14 06:02

THE Ibhayi Sunshine Saunter is back again and bringing nature to life in Port Elizabeth’s own backyard.

The Ibhayi Sunshine Saunter Route is a picturesque circular route that was started some 18 years ago by the most enthusiastic folk at rural businesses in the area.

Over the years, it has become a well-known morning- or day-trip for anyone just wanting to escape the city.

Within 45 minutes, one can reach a variety of excellent attractions, including 4x4 Trails, game parks, golf courses and a ski-boat and diving club.

There are also many Nature Trails along the way.

The route features some of Port Elizabeth’s most beautiful spots, including the Fynbos Trail at Schoenmakerskop and the Van Stadens Flower Reserve.

Adding to the excitement, there will also be the opportunity to see a couple of shipwrecks along the way.

The route is listed in the official Visitors’ Guide and on the Nelson Mandela Metro website at www.nmbt.co.za.

Ibhayi Sunshine Saunter maps are available at all tourism offices, hotels, BnBs etc. and tours for local and overseas visitors can be arranged. – REPORTER
