SOUTH Africa’s very own Just Jinjer and Monark will be performing in the Friendly City at The Boardwalk Lawns on December 22, bringing fans a taste of their world-class live performances.

Just Jinjer’s new album Everything Since Then will be showcased along with their much loved, older tracks. Produced by the talented Denholm Harding with input from the whole band, the album sees the culmination of a year long artistic process. The first single off the album “Wonderful World” reached number one on the iTunes SA Rock Chart, receiving major praise from their diverse fan base as well as the SA music critics.

Monark has recently released the Deluxe Edition of their three time SAMA nominated album, Negatives. The tour will be giving fans a deeper perspective into the development of this remarkable and unique band over the past three years.

The band has been dominating the airwaves, with six enormous singles off the album, including two number one singles, “Build It Up” and “Hush”.

“Since the release of Negatives, we became aware of the fact that a majority of the people think we are from abroad. Although it is flattering, it is also a challenge to get the message across that we are proudly South African,” said Eugene, the lead singer of Monark.

Catch Just Jinjer and Monark live at The Boardwalk Lawns on December 22. Tickets are R150 (children under 12 are R60) and available from http://justmonark.nutickets.co.za/PE.
