THE recent Easter celebrations and the successful launch and release of the Joyous 21 album mean that the MTN Joyous Celebration’s annual SA tour has begun.

The internationally acclaimed gospel ensemble will bring spiritual upliftment to the Eastern Cape Province this month following a successful three-day run of the Heal our Land album in Gauteng.

MTN Joyous Celebration will bring traditional spiritual and gospel favourites to Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University’s (NMMU) Missionvale Campus on May 5 and 6.

“Having uplifted the spirits of thousands of our fans in Carnival City, Johannesburg, we are sure that the PE audience will be just as captivated,” said founder Pastor Jabu Hlongwane.

Eastern Cape’s very own Nwabisa Meth will, among others, take to the stage with her enchanting melodious voice.

Meth is one of the many singers that have been nurtured by MTN Joyous Celebration over the years.

“This year, our tour is about collectively calling for our land to be healed,” added Hlongwane.

“As we celebrate our 21st anniversary, Port Elizabeth can be assured of the greatest and most phenomenal show.”

“We are excited to be returning to our Eastern Cape family back at NMMU Missionvale.

“We also want people to know that due to building alterations that have taken place at this venue, since we were last there in 2015, there is no longer parking available at the venue. We have made arrangements for secure parking at the Dan Qeqe Stadium, which is less than 600 metres away with park and ride facilities available throughout the show,” said Hlongwane.

Tickets, ranging from R200 to R300 for the Port Elizabeth show are available at Computicket.
