THE Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University’s (NMMU) Department of Music will host the Charles Bryars Scholarship Concert today, on May 17, at 7:30pm in the NMMU South Campus Auditorium.

A significant amount bestowed to the university by music teacher and humanitarian, Charles Bryars, allows the music department to allocate bursaries once a year to worthy students to further their studies in music.

Auditions took place at the beginning of the month and the finalists chosen will stage their performances at the concert where the overall winners will be announced.

Entry to the concert is R50 per adult, R30 per pensioner and R10 per student. For more info contact Nicky Bosman on 041 504 4235.
