AMAVA Heritage Publishing will tomorrow host the launch of its book, Maqoma: The Legend of a Great Xhosa Warrior 1798-1873, by Timothy Stapleton at the Opera House.

The book launch will start at 6pm.

Publisher, Themba Ngada, will conduct a presentation about the book and thereafter two discussants will be brought before the audience where they will be given an opportunity to ask questions.

Amava Heritage Publishing is a black publishing house that concentrates on researching, collecting, collating, debating, publishing and preserving all heritage material that has been or that is in the way of being lost to the nation.

This includes our true heroes, customs and stories.

Two other books, titled Maqoma’s Last War: The Sinking of the Birkenhead 1852, by Nicolas Dekker and UbuNgqina bobuKrestu bama-Afrika by Archbishop NH Ngada, also belonging to the same stable, will also be on display.

All books will be available for sale at the launch.
