SAICA recruits entrepreneurs for business mentorship

2017-04-26 06:00

THE South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA), through its enterprise and supplier development programme, The Hope Factory, is calling for entrepreneurs to apply for the 2017 programme.

Assisted by Enterprise Development investments in excess of 200 companies, the Hope Factory provides entrepreneurs with a holistic entrepreneurial development programme.

The programme addresses the unique needs of entrepreneurs and has proven that helping grow the individual business owner or entrepreneur, the business will be more likely to grow and remain sustainable.

The impactful development programme combines the flagship Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD) programme with the socioeconomic development programmes targeting both formal and informal businesses.

A large component of the programme is business mentorship where each entrepreneur is assigned a mentor for the duration of the programme ensuring transference of knowledge and skills for measurable impact on the development of small businesses.

Statistics show that having a mentor can be invaluable for small businesses, where 80% of entrepreneurs who have mentors, run sustainable businesses versus 45% who don’t have a mentor.

In addition to business mentorship, the Hope Factory’s programme further offers business analysis and review, financial services and mentoring, business development workshops, access to markets, industry expertise, operational investments, specialist training and networking.

Interested entrepreneurs can download the application form at www.thehopefactory.co.za.
