Do you have a delicious citrus recipes that you like to make and share with others?

Well, Food Lover’s Market and Die Burger’s citrus recipe booklet will be the ideal platform for doing so.

This year, the 16th SPAR Kirkwood Wildsfees will be hosted from Friday, June 30 to Sunday, July 2, and the ATKV and Die Burger/PE Express will have a citrus station where you can buy delicious oranges and other citrus products.

During the festival there will also be food demonstrations by Francois Ferreira and Annelie Oosthuizen.

Francois is famous for his contemporary and unique approach to the country’s rich and diverse food culture. From beetroot and biltong, and maize rice risotto to innovative cheese sushi, Francois greatly contributes to the appreciation of South African food.

Annelie grew up in front of her grandmother’s wood stove and soon realized that people’s hearts could be touched by food made with love.

Her catering company, Petronella Catering, was born of this love for good food and people.

She is also the presenter of her own food programme, Om die Tafel, on Luister! FM, is a member of the South African Chefs Association and will be incorporated as a professional member of the world’s oldest food and wine association, La Chaine de Rotisseurs.

Citrus recipe booklet

Food Lover’s Market and Die Burger will team up to launch a recipe book that contains delicious citrus recipes, and who knows maybe your recipe will be there!

This recipe booklet will contain an article about famous writer Sarah Graham, as well as citrus recipes of and articles about other famous chefs such as Francois Ferreira and Annelie Oosthuizen.

How do you enter your recipe?

If you have a delicious citrus recipe that you would like to see in this booklet, send it to us! Send an email with your citrus recipe to resepte@dieburger.com. Remember to write your name and town where you live in the subject line.

Registration for the recipes closes on Monday, June 19 at 12pm.

Die Burger and PE Express will publish weekly recipes from which a shortlist of recipes will be selected. Note that if your recipe is published in the newspaper, it does not necessarily mean that it will be included in the recipe book.
