The Mitchell’s Plain police confiscated more than 300 packets of tik in Beacon Valley on Monday last week.

Constable Zandile Marashula, spokesperson says the police were busy executing patrols at about 14:35 when they received information that drugs were being sold at a house in Aintree Street.

“The members followed up on the information and searched the suspected house. During the search the members recovered 320 straws of tik inside the house,” she says.

A 38-year-old man was arrested for possession of drugs and has appeared in court on related charges
