The third edition of the popular Battle of the Titans bodybuilding and fitness show will be held at the CPUT Bellville campus on Saturday 20 June.

Battle of the Titans III is one of the biggest shows on the calender and attracts some of the best physiques in the country.

The show is not sanctioned by any federation and has over R160 000 in cash and prizes.

According to the owner of the privately owned show, Kevin Schwartz (Bellville) he is excited about the upcoming show.

“This will be our third Battle of the Titans show and it really has grown in leaps and bounds. If you look back at 2013 we only had 88 competitors at the first show.

“Last year we had 163 athletes from around the country competing. We will only know on the Friday night at the official weigh-in and registration, how many athletes will take to the stage, but the feedback has been overwhelming so far.

“This show has always been about the athletes from. I wanted to create the ultimate platform for athletes to showcase their hard work and portray a healthy lifestyle and so far I think my team and I have given them that platform,” said Schwartz.

For the first time ever two athletes will each win a bursary valued at R25 000 from two academies in education in the fitness industry.

Registration and weigh-in will take place at CPUT Bellville on Friday 19 June from 17:00-20:00. On Saturday at 08:00 the athletes briefing will be held followed by pre-judging at 09:00 with the main show starting at 18:00.

Local comedian and actor Charles “Karl Ahari” Tertiens will be the master of ceremonies on the evening.

Tickets for the pre-judging is R100 and R150 for the main show. Tickets are available at the door and Computicket. For more information, contact Kevin Schwartz on 072 447 7520 or info@battleofthetitans.co.za
