CT schools fail to educate

2015-09-15 06:00

What a great disappointment to read “Schools nip ‘Charlie’ game in the bud” in last week’s People’s Post (9 September).

Here is a most excellent opportunity for a basic physics lesson in the principles of gravity, potential energy and centre of gravity, yet the folk we pay to educate our children have tossed the opportunity away, invoking imaginary ethereal entities, “negative” activities and situations where “control is lost”. No wonder kids at school are bored out of their minds. With such a lack of imagination on the part of their teachers to spot a great educational opportunity, who wouldn’t be?
