Certify docs at post office

2015-10-27 06:00

Maitland police call on the public to help relieve the waiting time of long lines in their community service centre for people who want to have documents certified.

These people can use the post office nearby on the corner of Voortrekker and Station roads close to the station.

Constable Lorencial Johnson says their concern is that police officials are kept busy for long periods at a time certifying documents and spending less time on the roads to prevent crime. But they will not turn anyone away who prefers to make use of the police for the certification of documents.

They are also urge residents to remember that they need to bring the original document with them if they wish to have a copy of the document certified.
