Free training for entrepeneurs

Small business owners are invited to apply for the second annual Programme in Entrepreneurship Skills (PES), taking place at Century City from 22 July.

The aim of the course is to help existing small business owners with management skills.

The programme was developed by the Small Business Advisory Bureau over a period of more than 40 years’ of practical experience in helping SMEs.

Topics to be covered include entrepreneurial ideas and opportunities, management skills, financial skills, marketing skills and how to draw up a budget.

The programme consists of 12 training days to be presented over a period of four months (one day per week) as well as on-site mentorship for a period of six months to successful candidates.

Successful participants will receive certificates of achievement issued by the North-West University Business School.

One hundred entrepreneurs will be selected countrywide to participate in this free programme, of which twenty delegates will be selected for Cape Town. Successful applicants will receive a scholarship and will be able to participate at no extra cost. All applicants will be tested and interviewed.
