The MyCiti bus route 109 (Hout Bay, Imizamo Yethu, Sea Point, Adderley Street) will be changed as a result of the roadworks in Main Road.

“The route from Cape Town will operate normally to the Imizamo Yethu stop. Commuters who need to access areas along Main Road where the roadworks will be, should alight at the Imizamo Yethu stop and walk south, which may be a distance to their destinations.

“Or they can stay on the bus after it has turned at the Imizamo Yethu stop and travel along the detour via Victoria Avenue and Princess Street and alight at the stops (Scott and Berg-en-Dal) as the bus travels north on its return journey along Main Road (importantly, this detour will lengthen commuters’ travel time).

“Buses will travel along the normal route on return from Hout Bay to the MyCiTi station in Adderley Street,” says Brett Herron, mayoral committee member for transport.

He explains that route 108 (Hangberg, Sea Point, Adderley Street) will not be affected by the roadworks, but may experience some delays due to traffic congestion
