2015-05-05 06:00

Police are calling on witnesses of a carjacking in Lansdowne to come forward with information that could lead to the arrest of two men.

On Thursday 12 March at 11:40 the vehicle owner and his girlfriend were parked in Addison Road, says police spokesperson Sergeant Nkululeko Mnyaka.

“The couple were approached by two unknown men in the driveway. The men threatened them with a firearm, pulled the keys and ordered him and his girlfriend to get out of the car,”

The suspects got inside and drove off with his Honda Civic with the registration number CY 115713.

A few hours later the vehicle was found abandoned in Lonedown Walk.

It was later discovered that the suspects had used a toy gun which was found inside the vehicle.

The vehicle was taken to Bellville South for further investigation and will be dusted for fingerprints.

A case of carjacking is under investigation and no arrests have been made.
