Capetonians can look forward to enjoying and celebrating Cape Town’s rich musical heritage with the second instalment of Kaapse Musiek in Colour.

Directed by Alistair Izobell, Kaapse Musiek in Colour 2 will be on stage at the Artscape Opera House from Monday 8 to Saturday 13 June.

In keeping with the spirit of ubuntu and musical diversity and in celebration of Youth Month, the theme of this year’s production celebrates emerging talented young South African artists who will become part of the local music heritage, creating a platform for future generations.

Alistair’s line-up includes Nur Abrahams, Edith Plaatjies, Salome Damon, Austin Rose, Robin Pieters and Andrea Anthony. They will be supported by a live band with musical director Trevino Isaacs on piano, Melvin Williams on bass, Jason de Laney on guitar, Keagan Links on drums, Jason Ward on percussion and other musicians on brass instruments.V

Tickets for Kaapse Musiek in Colour 2 cost R100 and are available at Computicket
