Consider yourself to be a cake boss, or maybe the dessert queen or the king sweet treats in your home?

Then prepare your favourite decadent creation and take it down to Vangate Mall on Saturday – it may just be good enough to get you into the finals of Vangate Mall’s Sweet Sensations competition.

Four amateur confectioners stand a chance to win their share in over R35 000 in prizes and to ultimately be crowned the winner of Sweet Sensations.

The winner will walk away with three-piece kitchen cupboard set consisting of a broom cupboard, workstation with cutlery draws and grocery storage space, and a crockery cupboard with grocery storage space, a Vodacom mobile device, and a his and hers watch set.

Prize sponsors include Couches Direct, Vodacom, Faircraft, House of Jewelery and Vangate SuperSpar. People’s Post and Voice of the Cape are the media partners.

To enter, simply present your sweet creation to the four judges on Saturday between 11:00 and 15:00 in the Vangate Mall piazza (outside the food court).

The bakers of the top five dishes – based on creativity, presentation and taste – will go through to the finals: a live bake-off at Vangate Mall on Saturday 28 October.

Each finalists will also be featured in People’s Post in the weeks leading to the finals.
