Busy week as local police arrest 111

2017-08-15 06:03

The Mitchell’s Plain Police Station’s officers have recently continued clamping down on crime and criminal activities in the eight policing sectors.

They did this by executing search warrants, searching for wanted suspects, doing high-density patrols and visible policing and conducting stop-and-searches.

During the week from Friday 28 July to Thursday 3 August, police arrested 111 people. They searched 26 houses for drugs and confiscated 236g dagga, 28 mandrax tablets, 297g tik and 95g heroin.

A firearm and zip gun were also confiscated as part of the operations.

V Anyone with information on crime is urged to call their nearest police station or CrimeStop on 08600 10111.
