Car goes up in flames

The cause of the blaze which saw a vehicle go up in flames in Wynberg today (6 February) has not yet been determined.

According to a report from Fire and Rescue Services spokesperson, Theo Layne, firefighters received a call at about 10:30 of a car on fire outside Wynberg Magistrate’s Court.

He says on arrival firefighters found a Volkswagen Polo on fire and the blaze was extinguished 20 minutes later.

“There were no injuries reported and at this at this stage the cause of fire is not yet determined.”
