The Choc Childhood Cancer Foundation’s House Plumstead received a day of fun of activities for the children thanks to the contestants of Tropika Island of Treasure, a South African reality TV competition series that is currently showing on SABC3.

The show features local celebrities and public contestants who stay and compete in a luxurious, paradise island location for a cash prize.

In each episode the players compete in an “island game”. Each week’s winner listens to the other players’ pleas to stay on the island, and they alone have the power to decide who stays and who goes by uttering the words “Pack your bags and get off my island”.

The final Island Game winner receives a prize of R1m.

Expresso TV show presenters Katlego Maboe and Euan Strydom also joined the party and brought smiles to the children’s faces.

Expresso hosted a telethon for the foundation and raised an amount of R150 000.
