There’s a chance to discover some new ideas in knitting this month.

Steven Berg, a fibre artisan and reality TV star with a firm belief in the power of creativity that knitting and crocheting can offer, will be touring South Africa from Saturday 13 to Saturday 20 May.

Tickets for his appearance at the Cape Craft and Design Institute in Barrack Street in the city centre on Saturday 20 May at 14:00 are now on sale.

The American “rock star” of knitters, who is also a fan of South African mohair, will present knitting workshops alongside Mohair South Africa, giving knitting enthusiasts an opportunity to learn tricks and stitches.

Lindsay Humphreys of Mohair South Africa says: “For those knitters who want to get all the inside scoop on the latest yarns, techniques, colourways and textiles from across the globe, be sure to book your spot. StevenBe is a true genius of his craft.”
