This year’s Nederburg Concert Series will begin with young talent, in the spirit of Youth Month on Sunday 26 June.

That’s when classical pianist Megan-Geoffrey Prins will play a virtuoso programme of works by Haydn, Brahms, Rachmaninov and Messiaen.

Award-winning Megan, who will be returning to South Africa for the performance, is currently furthering his studies in the USA under the international pianist, Antonio Pompa-Baldi.

This year’s concert series, which will run at the Nederburg Manor House in Paarl until October, will offer a selection of music for solo piano, voice, piano duo, harp and flute duo, as well as guitar duo.

Soprano Louise Howlett and mezzo soprano Jolene McCleland will perform a programme of songs dedicated to love and life, accompanied by pianist Stefan Lombard and clarinetist, Visser Liebenberg in Songs from the Heart on Sunday 31 July before Zorada Temmingh and Elna van der Merwe play special piano arrangements in Two Blondes-One Piano on Sunday 28 August.

The concert on Sunday 25 September will celebrate the return of spring with harpist, Kobie du Plessis, and flautist, Louisa Theart, who plan to take the audience on a musical journey around the world.

Ending the series on a high note will be Andalucian Nights on Sunday 30 October which features classical and flamenco guitar maestros James Grace and Saudiq Kahn.

All concerts start at 17:00 and tickets, at R250, include sherry on arrival, Nederburg Brut poured during interval and Nederburg wines paired with a finger supper, traditionally served after the concert.
