Find solutions to water crisis

2016-11-22 06:00

Why is the city council so useless when it comes to water provision?

Those paid high salaries just to the consumer to tighten our belts, fine us and make money.

Newlands has the highest rainfall table in the city, if not the country.

Why doesn’t the council dredge the river from Newlands to where it runs into the sea?

Dredge it deeper and wider and build a dam wall at the end of the Black River, then operate a river police to police the entire stretch so no one pollutes the river.

There could also be braai areas along the river beds and water can be purified to feed the city.

This can also be done in Table View which runs into the Milnerton lagoon.
