Fishermen robbed at gunpoint

Police are requesting information on a robbery that took place on Lukannon Drive last month.

On Tuesday 24 May at 23:20 the victim was fishing with friends at Bluewaters Beach in Strandfontein when they were approached by nine men carrying firearms.

The suspects were armed with a shot gun, rifle and hand guns and robbed the men of their fishing gear. The suspects then fled the scene in a white bakkie with an unknown registration. The stolen property is estimated to be valued at more than R100 000. A second person was also robbed of his property on the same day.

V Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call the investigating officer, Detective Constable Elton Williams of the Strandfontein Crime Investigation Department, on 021 370 1501 or 021 370 1515 or 079 894 1208.
