Get special entry to fun race

2017-07-11 06:02

Although the public’s early-bird special for the Fisherman’s Friend Strongman Run in Paarl officially closed yesterday, readers of People’s Post and its sister publications City Visionand TygerBurger get a special extension on the early-bird entry for “the biggest fun, mass-start obstacle race in the world”.

Readers can enter for the race, which will be held on 14 October, from tomorrow until 21 July.

Local celebrity Ferdinand Rabie, owner of Fisherman’s Friend Strongman Run South Africa, has granted the special extension with an additional R75 discount off the full entry price for the 8km, 15km (most popular and fun) and 21km races. All race finishers will get a medal and an event t-shirt. “We recently returned from Germany after competing in the 10th edition of the Fisherman’s Friend Strongman Run in Germany. AJ Calitz from Fish Hoek performed remarkably and won the 21km race in a time of 1:52:07 which completely blew me away.

“South Africa is on the map and besides all the attention on us with AJ winning, international athletes are showing interest in flying over here to compete in our event. Readers of People’s Post, TygerBurger and City Vision, get your entries in now and use the code ‘WPMedia’ on entryninja.com,” says Rabie.
