Heideveld man stabbed to death

2016-11-08 06:00

Police are investigating the murder of a 48-year-old man after he was found stabbed to death in Heideveld last Saturday.

Manenberg police spokesperson Captain Ian Bennett says the stabbing occurred after the victim chased another suspect down Towerkop Road late on that Saturday evening.

It is alleged that the man had set the victim’s wendy house alight.

“When he confronted him another man came and stabbed the 48-year-old several times.

“It is also alleged that the two men are from rival gangs. It was also discovered that the wrong person had been blamed for setting the wendy house alight,” says Bennett.

No arrests have been made after the suspects fled the scene on foot.

V Anyone with information on this murder can call Manenberg police station on 021 699 9400 or CrimeStop on 0860 010 111.
