Inspiring transformation

2016-05-24 06:00

A festival of learning with a difference will be taking place in Cape Town from Thursday for the annual Psychology Festival of Learning.

With the theme of Inspiring Transformation it will be hosted by the South African College of Applied Psychology (Sacap) at their Cape Town campus on Thursday 26 and Friday 27 May.

The organisation is mobilised by a vision of an empowered, caring society of integrated individuals and believes that in order to address the harsh realities that exist within South Africa we need to train an inspired workforce of counsellors, psychologists, coaches and leaders.

This festival is also about all the success stories and ideas that have and are still inspiring transformation in our communities, families and workplaces. “A process of defined and radical change is how some define “transformation”,” says Lance Katz, CEO of Sacap.

“Through the Festival of Learning we don’t just want to share stories about transformation, we want to inspire South Africans to identify where change is needed and to be part of the transformation process.”

With over 50 guest speakers the festival offers a wide range of 1-hour talks.

The Cape Town Campus is on the 1st Floor Sunclare Building, 21 Dreyer Street, Claremont.

Tickets for the Psychology Festival of Learning as well as the programme with speakers details and topics are available on the website: www.psychologyfestival.co.za.
