Lead the pack in night run

2016-06-21 06:00

For a fun run with a difference The Cape Town Running Company has announced the first of their evening Petzl Wolfpack Trails.

At 19:00 on Thursday 23 June, the 105-year-old Rondebosch Golf Course will play host to Wolfpack Rondebosch and a pack of 200 runners as they experience the thrill of night running on safe, well-marked 5 or 10km courses.

Individual electronic timing will provide runners with immediate online results, and a combination of category and lucky draw prizes will be awarded from the club house when the pack is home.

Petzl Wolfpack Trails will be rolled out across Cape Town with the promise of something for every level of runner. Whether drawn by the possibility of enjoying a fast-paced hunt at the front of the pack, or an exciting introduction to safe night running, these events will appeal to all the freedom chasers and those seeking unknown paths.

The Alpha man and Alpha woman will be awarded prizes courtesy of Camp and Climb in both over and under 40 categories.

Entries are R80 online, or R100 on the day for the 10km, or R50 for the 5km which becomes R70 on the day. Cash or card will be accepted for late entries. Headlamps are compulsory, and will be sold at registration.
