Man shot in club fight in Retreat Road

A 34-year-old man from Retreat is lucky to be alive after he was hit twice in his buttocks when six bullets went through his car on ­Saturday.

The man even drove himself to the hospital. Staff of Retreat day hospital then called the police. Steenberg police spokesperson Warrant Officer John Bartlett says police officers went to the hospital at 05:00.

“It is alleged that there was a fight at a club in Retreat Road when the victim was asked to fetch another person. When he returned to the club he saw a crowd of people and someone fired several shots at him as he got out of his car,” he says.

No arrests have been made.
