‘Missing’ resident found murdered at home

A missing person search has changed to a murder investigation after a Plumstead resident was found dead in his home last week.

The deceased man’s hands and feet had been bound. Injuries were also discovered on his body on Thursday last week at 19:30.

Warrant Officer Keith Chandler, spokesperson of Diep River police station, says the victim allegedly went missing on the Sunday. This was reported to the police who started an investigation.

“The deceased was discovered by a family member under some rubble in the house (as the deceased was a ‘hoarder’),” Chandler says.
