New houses planned

2016-01-12 12:22
While the City of Cape Town plans a R36m housing project in Masiphumelele, residents have been warned that the increasing number of informal structures will only hamper future development.
The housing project will be used to build 227 new housing units, which will be constructed between the existing formal area and the sports fields.
“It is estimated that the tender will be advertised mid-2016, with an estimated construction period of two years,” says Benedicta van Minnen, mayoral committee member for human settlements.
