Lotus River drummer and percussionist Jason Ward is hosting his new production Our Songbook showcasing some of his originals at the Nassau in Newlands next month.

He is doing this production in collaboration with bassist Chadleigh Gowar and sax man Manuel Jardine on Saturday 27 May and booking has already opened.

Starting at 19:30 tickets for this event are R100 and the Nassau Theatre is at 77 Palmyra Road in Newlands.

Ward, the brother of guitarist Cameron Ward who plays with Hugh Masekela, has featured with some of the top acts around town and started some music projects to empower young musicians in his neighbourhood.V For information and booking call 079 902 6428.
